3D Workshop
In this workshop we experimented with creating '3D' photographs. To achieve this first we had to take a series of image pairs, setting the camera up on a tripod. A first shot was taken, then the camera was moved a few centimetres to the right before taking a second shot.
After these pictures had been transferred to the computer we made them into two different types of 3D image, 'anaglyphs' and 'wobble gifs'.

Anaglyphs
Anaglyphs give a very good 3D effect but need to be viewed through coloured filters, a red over the left eye and a blue/green over the right. As part of the workshop we made some 3D glasses, using red and blue cellophane. (To make your own 3D glasses, download the template provided and follow the instructions)

Wobble Gifs
A wobble gif is actually an animation and creates an impression of 3D by rapid switching between the two images (left and right). The 3D effect is perhaps not as strong as the anaglyph but they are easier to view as they do not require special glasses.
